Filed under: N95, O2 Xda Flame, cell phone, iphone, technology — nungning26 @ 5:15 am

At this time, no one can say that cell phone or mobile phone is not necessary for daily life. Also, there are too many phones from many companies which are different style and different function. They always create these things to match with people’s characteristic and how much technology they need. For example, some old people use the cell phone only for calling when they need a necessary thing, but some people use it like a computer which also can be a multimedia camera, mp3 and GPS navigation.

Therefore, there are 3 kinds of phone that recently release from the diffent companies such as Apple, Nokia and O2 to compare and indroduce in here.

iPhone

Apple is going to release the new product which is iPhone or the most revolutionary phone which they are called.
iPhone is included every technology such as multimedia device, iPod and Internet service into one device.
There are more detail for iPhone, which I found :

Sweet, glorious specs of the 11.6 millimeter device include a 3.5-inch 480 x 320 touchscreen display with multi-touch support and a proximity sensor to turn off the screen when it’s close to your face, 2 megapixel cam, 4GB or 8 GB of storage, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP, WiFi that automatically engages when in range, and quad-band GSM radio with EDGE. Perhaps most amazingly, though, it somehow runs OS X with support for Widgets, Google Maps, and Safari, and iTunes with CoverFlow out of the gate. A partnership with Yahoo will allow all iPhone customers to hook up with free push IMAP email. Apple quotes 5 hours of battery life for talk or video, with a full 16 hours in music mode — no word on standby time yet. The 4GB iPhone will go out the door in the US as a Cingular exclusive for $499 on a two-year contract, 8GB for $599. (www.engadget.com)

Also, you can visit apple.com/iphone for more information — video clip is provided.

Nokia N95

The newest multimedia computer mobile phone from Nokia is the one of high technology phones in these days. It comes with the full function of multimedia device such as up to 5 megapixel camera included front camera, digital stereo microphone, video and still image editors, digital music player - supports MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+/WMA/M4A with playlists and equalizer, integrated handsfree speaker and stereo FM radio. For general dimension of N95, thickness is 21 mm., screen size is 2.6 inches - TFT display with ambient light detector and up to 16 million colors and power management : talk time up to 4 hours and stand by time up to 200 hours. In addition, Nokia N95 memory function is provided up to 160 MB internal dynamic memory for messages, ringing tones, images, video clips, calendar notes, to-do list and applications. Also, it has memory card slot supporting up to 2 GB microSD memory cards which can remove and add more.

O2 Xda Flame

O2 mobile phone is a good one as known as a PDA phone, but it is known only in Australia, Asia and Europe.

The Xda Flame features the advanced NVIDIA® GoForce® GPU for ultra-crisp graphics.
2 GB of onboard memory and an Intel® XScale® PXA 270 Processor running at 520 MHz, powers an unsurpassed user experience.
Enjoy movies on the go or simply achieve more with the generous 3.6″ VGA touchscreen.(www.o2.com)

In addition, O2 Xda Flame has multimedia device like two phones above : 2 Megapixels CMOS Auto-focus 4X digital zoom camera, speakerphone, stereo speaker and FM Radio with RDS function. Also, its connection has Built-in Wireless LAN, Bluetooth® SIG version 2.0 + EDR, Infrared IrDA with remote control capability, USB On-The-Go and TV-Out connector. Power management for O2 Xda Flame : standby time up to 200 hours and talking time up to 6 hours.

If you’re interested in O2 Xda Flame, you can read more information at O2.com.

From above mobile phone , all of them are good, but it depends on people that which one they like.
Because there are only some different points between them such as megapixel of camera or built in memory card.
So, I hope those information are useful for you to decide getting a new phone soon.

Dilemma June 26, 2007

Filed under: dilemma, music video — nungning26 @ 4:59 am

This is my favorite songs in a kind of Hip-Hop and R&B songs. I’ve heard this song since I was in the college, but I just had a chance to watch its video in Youtube.com.

I never want to know the meaning of the title song untill today. And I found it.

Dilemma means “a situation in which it is very difficult to decide what to do, because all the choices seem equally good or equally bad” (Longman Dictionary).

First time when I watched it, I didn’t get it. But after I found the meaning, I watched it again. Then ‘Oh! I got it!!’
It means like in the music video.

Sustainability is an attempt to provide the best outcomes for the human and natural environments both now and into the indefinite future. (http://wikipedia.org)

There are too many ways to save and continue to exist the sources such as water, miners and woods for human being and non-human being in the future, because now there are still too little and if there are none, they are going to react to many things such as economic, social, institute and environment.

These are some examples that they use the remained sources like sunlight and the things such as old tires to be one of house’s compositions.

Tiny Home :

Sometimes big houses are not useful for every people because the lifestyle now has changed from a big family to a small family. For example, some big house only grandfather and grandmother stay together. So they need only the necessary spaces such as bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen.

For supporting their purpose, a few companies started to build the tiny house and sell them since many years ago. They did not only think about the money, but they thought about the environment also like one of the tiny house’s company owner, Jay Shafer is designer specializing in sustainable architecture and urban planning.

My decision to inhabit just 100 square feet arose from some concerns I had about the impact a larger house would have on the environment, and because I do not want to maintain a lot of unused or unusable space. My houses have met all of my domestic needs without demanding much in return. The simple, slower lifestyle my homes have afforded is a luxury for which I am continually grateful. (Read more)

Earthship :

They’re called earthships – an environmentalist’s dream home made from up to 2,000 scrap tires, packed dirt, straw and concrete.

From the outside each looks like a berm with a solarium in front. On the inside, it can be a luxurious mansion for everyday living or just a cozy one-room cabin with a great view.

Utilities like water, sewage, and electricity do not have to come from municipal sources. Running water and sewage storage is handled through underground tanks. “Photovoltaic” lights, which store solar energy in their own batteries, provide lighting at night. But for those who can’t be without their TVs or microwaves, electricity can be installed. (Earthship Homes Catch Old Tires on Rebound by Eva Ferguson)

The earthship is the result of getting rid of tires which are hard to recycle. Besides the tires, this house can also get rid of too many cans because they used them to make walls. Also this house can help you save money from the water and the electricity bill. However, the earthship price is not quite cheap. It’s around $3,000 to $1 million, depending on size and amenities.

Connection between PS3 and PSP June 14, 2007

Sony Company has lunch PS3 – the new version of video game around the early of this year - 2007. PS3 is a complex device, not only playing games on it, watching movies, connecting internet and downloading the data also. PS3 is much better than PS2 because the picture from PS3 is shaper and it has wireless inside such as the controller.

Moreover, for the Sony customers who have PSP, there is one special which is wireless connection between the PSP handheld and the upcoming PS3 next-gen console.

How do they work together :

One of the more interesting plans calls for the PlayStation3 to download PSOne games and then to beam them over to the PSP via WiFi for some portable retro gaming action. There’s a distinct possibility that video can be streamed from the PS3 to the PSP as well, but Location Free TV doesn’t appear to be in the cards. The PSP-as-a-PS3-controller idea, however, is very much a possibility.

Besakih Temple, the Mother’s temple in Bali, Indonesia June 14, 2007

Filed under: bali, indonesia, temple, travel — nungning26 @ 4:26 am

Bali is one of the cities and one of the islands in Indonesia. Bali is the most beautiful island in this country. There are many clear and nice beaches such as Sanur, Kuta, Nusa Dua and Singaraja. Besides the nice beaches, Bali is also known as the island of temple because there are at least 11,000 temples - Hindu temples - in the island.

The largest and holiest temple in Bali is Besakih Temple or Pura BesakihMother’s temple. It is located on the feet of Agung Mountain. The record mentioned that at the beginning of 11th century, Besakih Temple became to the state temple. It has remained the state temple since that time until today. Also same as every temple in Bali, Besakih Temple is not a closed building but a mostly open-air affair.

The anniversary of temple or Odalan is the best day to visit there if you are looking for pageantry. People go there to celebrate winning between god and evil and there are a lot of activities. It’s very nice. The ceremony usually comes in April or in the tenth month of the Balinese calendar.

Chatuchak Weekend Market - the shopping world in Bangkok June 14, 2007

Filed under: bangkok, shopping, thailand — nungning26 @ 2:39 am

In Bangkok, Thailand there’re many shopping places such as shopping malls, markets and department stores. This is one of the famous shopping places in Bangkok and is called ‘Chatuchak Weekend Market’.

The market opens only Saturday and Sunday around 9am. – 6pm. In this market, there are too many products for sale such as clothes, shoes, household accessories, handicrafts, religious artifacts, art, antiques, live animals, books, music, food, plants and flowers etc. The price of the products at this market is cheaper than the shopping mall and some products are hand made such as shirts, handicrafts and souvenir. Also customers can bargain the price from the sellers, even though the products in this market are already cheap. Sometimes they can decrease 50% of the price.

The recommended time is early in the morning, late in the afternoon or in the winter time, because it is the market – does not have air condition and the weather in Bangkok is very hot in summer.

‘Trang’ is 1 of many provinces which is in the South of Thailand. Many people, especially tourists, have known about the nice beaches in the South of Thailand such as in Phuket and in Krabi, but only some people are interested in the waterfall and the forest in the south part of Thailand as in Trang.

These are nice pictures of the waterfall in Trang, but I don’t know its name. First time when I saw them, I thought it is very beautiful and I did not think that it is in the South of Thailand, because most of the nice and famous waterfalls are in the North, Middle and Northeast of the country.

However, Trang does not only have the nice waterfalls, there’re some nice and clear beaches also. So when you go there, you can enjoy both of nice natural places.

This is 1 of many video clips from Youtube.com. It is about Matrix Karate. I found this one because my friend introduced me to watch another one first. Another one is about the Matrix Ping Pong. You can search it on the above website by using the word which is Matrix Ping Pong. It is very funny like this one also.

This video clip is from Japan. I like it because the technique is very good. First time when I saw this one, I did not realize that there are some men who wear a black dress in the background. So it looks like the real one and their presentation is very good.

So, I want to share this kind of video clip to everyone who come to visit my blog and I hope you are going to like it as me.

Leaving Couldn’t Be Returned June 8, 2007

In the middle of summer break 2007, something which is bad happened to me. I know this will happen to everyone, but I think it’s too fast for me. Leaving of someone who I am very close!

She’s my grandfather’s sister. I call her ‘Yai Ja’. She’s very close to me because she took care of me and my brother when we were kids. She bought toys, gave us the money and took us to many places. In addition, she used to live with us until last 5 years she moved to stayed with her son. But she often comes to my home when she had to see the doctor. She still gave us the money. And of course, we took care of her instead because she’s getting old. For example, when she had to go seeing the doctor at the hospital, my brother and I would switch to take care of her.

But now she’s not with us anymore. She just left us on May 19, 2007. She passed away because she fell down first and then my mother said some bones are in her lungs. So she couldn’t take a breath well. Also she got her disease which is diabetes and it made her blood couldn’t run well in her body. In addition, it’s hard to go to her heart. I thought it’s so complicated for me like why it’s so fast because I just talked with my mother and asked her about my grandmother. In another hand, it’s good for her that she would be hurt anymore. I was so sad about this situation like every times that I think about her I will cry. But everything is going to be better and I got better now.

Only one thing that I think now is when I go back home in Thailand, I won’t have a chance to see her anymore – Miss you - Yai Ja.
